Above are three 'trawls' (RMusic versions) for you to hear from this indeterminate work.
Theme: the idea of voice Son type: vox
•Licence: Open from 14th July 2007 until
31st Aug 2008
•The
brief:
Voice is the one musical instrument most of
us carry everywhere. Voices can talk
or sing, whisper or shout, babble or
articulate. Of course, the human voice
is not the only possibility - many animals
have 'voices', musical instruments can
make vocal sounds, wind 'sighing' in
the trees can 'tell' stories etc. -
there are no wrong answers here - just the idea of voice
This
Consemble asked for sounds that speak
to this theme.
this work is issued under creative commons licence CC BY-SA 4.0
•Notes on C1:
This Consemble was one of the most popular and reached its Son limit of 60 before the project concluded. In response to this I issued a second licence (C2) with an extended deadline.

Theme: the idea of voice Son type: vox
•Second Licence: Open from 1st Sept 2008 until 31st Aug 2009
•The
brief:
Just
as we respond visually to the face,
we give a special place in our sound
world to the voice. A voice may be private
or communal, loud or soft, questioning
or assertive - and an exchange of voices
(a very pleasurable thing sometimes)
can be a conversation. We even hear
voices in the non-human world.
This
popular Consemble again requested sounds
that communicate 'the idea of voice'.
