about BOOKS in SOUND and LIGHT

Books
in Sound and Light is a phrase for me to live in while I
sort out the what and the how of my book publishing.
I am currently working on a series of interactive bookworks,
the first of which, 'A Book of Hot Coals' is being modeled
here.
Beginning with 'Poems and other insects' I am also reinventing
my imprint Alembic Books, both to release previously published
works and to generate and disseminate new ones.
My plan is to bring the paper and computer-housed books
in close allegiance - the sound and light of the phrase
refers to the idea of the ephemeral book, using the computer
as a writing space, but this is not intended as any 'future'
of the book, just an extension of possibilities. |
